In 2016 the Exhibition celebrated its fifth anniversary, and expanded its programming, which was projected in the hall of New Casino of Figaro, on 8 and 9 October 2016.
The Exhibition had a competitive Official Section composed of 14 non-fiction films. The shorts competed for the following awards: Jury Award for Best Documentary –endowed with 300€–, the Audience Award, which will be decided by the vote of the spectators, the Cultural Association of Granollers Prize –which will select a short film that will screen in their cycles Dimarts singulars–, and Distribution Award –sponsored by Clickforfestivals, consisting of bonus for the international distribution of short selected–.
This year, the screening of the film Corn Island, by the Georgian director George Ovashvili was included. This space was curated jointly with Granollers Filmmakers, Granollers Cultural Association, and in collaboration with Paco Poch Cinema.
There was an inaugural screening of the short “El Nen Amagat”, by Pol Rodríguez, sponsored by Turisme del Vallès, and a space for discussion with the directors attending the Exhibition, plus a guided tour with a cinephile touch around the Natural Park of Montseny.
