ForadCamp 2022 Festival Awards

Can Gardell

«Can Gardell», by Sílvia Subirós and Florencia Aliberti.

The XI edition of ForadCamp Nature and Film Festival took place in Figaró-Montmany on September 17 and 18. In addition to the Official Competitive Section, other outdoor spaces and activities related to cinema have been offered, at the foot of the Montseny Natural Park. A total of two hundred people have enjoyed high quality and personal cinema in which nature is the protagonist, context or reason for reflection.

A solid and diverse Official Section has shown a dozen works from the United Kingdom, Netherlands and Germany, co-productions from South Africa and France, Hungary and Belgium, and a wide presence of shorts from the Spanish territory.

The jury for this edition, composed by Cloe Masotta, Rubén Margalló and Federico Delpero, has awarded the Best Short Film Award (awarded the ForadCamp Rain Trophy and €300 in cash), for «Can Gardell», by Sílvia Subirós and Florencia Aliberti, for the projection of a critical gaze, full of irony, to a rural world presented as a neoliberal fetish.” The jury has also awarded a special mention to «The day they blew up the mountain», by Alba Bresolí Aliberch, “for showing the capacity of cinema to preserve the vestiges of a reality in extinction. »

The Distribution Award, sponsored by Festhome and awarded by the INDOC Association, went to «Some Kind of intimacy» by Toby Bull, «for being an honest portrait in which the director, with minimal brushstrokes, depicts the relationship between human beings and nature, between life and death”.

The Special Mention granted by the Granollers Cultural Association, has been ‘ex aequo’ to the films: «Memory», by Nerea Barros and «The day that They blew up the mountain», by Alba Bresolí Aliberch. The mention has been granted in recognition of the work and good use of narration, photography and montage.

And, finally, the Audience Award has gone to «The day they blew up the mountain», by Alba Bresolí Aliberch.

We thank the great team of people who have made this edition possible. We look forward to seeing you next year!

Awardees and team of ForadCamp 2022

A balance of ForadCamp 2020

ForadCamp 2020, 9th Nature and Cinema Exhibition, was held on September 26 and 27 in Figaró-Montmany, with a large audience. Despite the capacity restrictions due to COVID-19, almost 150 people have been able to enjoy the films screened, with great feedback from the spectators.

We want to thank all the people who filled the Nuevo Casino Figaró and decided to visit a theater under such complicated circumstances as those of this year’s.

Likewise, we would like to thank the collaboration and support of our sponsors: the Diputación de Barcelona, the Can Plans farmhouse, Casa Tía Julia, Docs Barcelona, Karma Films, Vermuts Miró, the Cultural Association of Granollers and the Filmmakers of Granollers.

We hope to meet again in Figaró-Montmany next year, to celebrate together the 10th edition of ForadCamp!

Get caught up in nature!

ForadCamp 2020 will be a non competitive exhibition

Logo FDC general

Due to the Covid-19 crisis and the uncertainty of not knowing if in October 2020 we will be able to celebrate the festival at Figaró-Montmany, we have decided not to open the call to receive short films for this year’s edition.

We are designing ForadCamp 2020 as a non-competitive exhibition with materials selected by our team. We hope the evolution of this pandemic let us make public screenings in October. Thanks for your patience! We will keep you updated.

A very suggestive vision with a great planning and assembly work, in short, a minimalist short film that is at the same time very expressive«.
