FORADCAMP 2019 AWARD LIST

These are the award winners of ForadCamp 2019, 8th Nature and Cinema Exhibition.

Lotus, by Mohammadreza Vatandoust (Iran, 2018, 14’)

«Lotus», by Mohammadreza Vatandoust, obtained the Best Documentary Jury Award 2019.

  • The Jury, composed of Ricardo Íscar, Núria Campabadal and Maria Alcázar, awarded the Jury Prize for Best Documentary, to «Lotus», by Mohammadreza Vatandoust. The Jury awarded it «for making a portrait of a person and a landscape, for the human and political dimensions of history, and for its great cinematic quality«.
  • Also, the Jury granted a Special Mention to «Floureja», by Pablo Heuson«for the high quality of its formal and stylistic approach to the subject of the film«.
  • The Audience Award went to «All inclusive«, by Corina Schwingruber Ilić.

«All Inclusive», by Corina Schwingruber Ilić, Foradcamp 2019 Audience Award.

  • Distribution Prize sponsored by Festhome and awarded by INDOC, was for the short «Los rugidos que alejan la tormenta», by Santiago Reale, «for portraying with sincerity and simplicity the life of a boy who has decided to live in nature, finding there his place in the world, and as a plea for the absolute freedom of human beings to lead their lives«.
  • Granollers Cultural Association Mention was for «Lotus«, «for the excellent cinematic treatment, for the clarity of the message and for the emotiveness of his footage«.
    «Peix al forn», by Guillem Miró, obtained the Children’s Jury Price ForadCamp Kids 2019. 
  • Children’s Jury Prize, chosen by a Jury made up of five children under 12 years old, was awarded to «Peix al forn», by Guillem Miró because «the film teaches us that if we do not take care of nature, we will end up with the fishes of the sea and will have to eat plastic«.

Films selected for ForadCamp 2019

We already know the list of the 17 short films selected for the Official Section of ForadCamp 2019. There will be shorts from Argentina, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Iran, Netherlands, Romania, South Korea, Spain and Switzerland, and also a co-production Switzerland-Spain.

The screening of the selected short films will be held in the village of Figaró-Montmany on October 19 and 20, 2019. The full program of the Exhibition will be available by the end of September on our website.

Submissions open for ForadCamp 2019

Logo FDC general Film submissions for ForadCamp 2019 – 8th Nature and Cinema Exhibition are now open.

Films must be non fiction, under 30 minutes, and nature should have a prominent place within the short film.

The screening of works selected will take place in Figaró-Montmany town, October 19-20, 2019.

The deadline for submissions is June 16, 2019. Films may be submitted through the internet platform Festhome.com or filling the submission form in our website.
