ForadCamp 2025, XIV Nature Film Festival took place on October 25 and 26 in Figaró-Montmany, featuring high-quality cinema and outdoor activities at the foot of the Montseny Natural Park.

In this fourteenth edition, audiences enjoyed a carefully curated selection of documentary and fiction films exploring the relationship between people and nature from singular and committed perspectives. Among the highlights were El eco, by Tatiana Huezo, a delicate and powerful portrait of childhood and rural life in Mexico; and As the tide comes in, by Juan Palacios and Sofie Husum Johannesen, an atmospheric documentary about the rhythms and silences of a Danish coastal community.

Also screened was A happy day, by Hisham Zaman, a tender and moving story about three young refugees dreaming of escaping a detention center in northern Norway.

For family audiences, ForadCamp Kids filled the hall with Flow, by Gints Zilbalodis, a dialogue-free animated adventure that invites reflection on coexistence, the fragility of the planet, and the need to cooperate in a changing world.

The traditional guided excursion by the Aprèn team, this year through the Vallcàrquera valley, was once again one of the most participatory moments of the festival, offering an experience to reconnect with nature through shared discovery.

Audiences also took part in a live online conversation with filmmaker Juan Palacios, who shared the challenges and successes of As the tide comes in. The films of this edition focused on resistance, resilience, and tenderness, showing the harshness and beauty of life with nature as a central and symbolic axis.

ForadCamp is a film festival organized by the Figaró-Montmany Town Hall and coordinated by the Independent Documentary Filmmakers Association INDOC. Year after year, the festival reaffirms its commitment to independent, sensitive cinema connected with nature as a space for life and thought.
